General Operational Specifications
The CSC Gas Igniter Assembly is available in either 1-7/8” OD for use with liquid & gaseous fuels at 1-3 MMBTU/hr capacity or 2-7/8” OD for use with liquid & gaseous fuels at 2-10 MMBTU/hr and is available in varying lengths depending on application need.
The benefit of using the High Energy Assembly is the production of a high current DC arc at a relatively low voltage which allows the reliable ignition of any fuel and the ability to burn through any dirt and contamination on the Spark Rod.
The mixing chamber in the Igniter provides a fuel rich zone to provide the First Stage of Ignition. This fuel rich zone is 5% - 10% of the total fuel output. The fuel that remains is then mixed with the air and ignites from the First Stage. The Second Stage of Ignition provides a stable flame with a rated output. Finally, the perforated air hole plate functions as a shield, as well as allowing for the provision of additional air for a more stable combustion.
Additional Components Available
The third component, available separately, for Control Systems’ High Energy Gas Igniter is a Standard 12 Joule Power Supply Assembly and consists of the 110v Power Supply Unit with NEMA 4/4x Enclosure and a High Energy Ignition Cable.
